Shocking - this is the result of smug dullards who proclaim to be our elite.

The crowning glory was the comment of the Chancellor, Mr C Hunt, that as a multi-millionaire with at least 18 month of index linked salary and pension, is comfortable with putting the UK into recession.

I’m sure you are correct Frederick and it is a big concern for me, along with many others related to poor government. The trouble is we, a supposed democracy, in reality only have the choice of shitty party A or shitty party B. The Shitty Party once in power does what suits them (whoever they are - I’m not quite sure) and we watch in pathetic stupor. I would love to support an alternative but they are not well organised enough.

From a former Immigration Officer: I have watched in despair as waves and waves of new entrants descend on this small crowded island and I can find no justification whatsoever for the lies, the stupidity, the economic and environmental magical thinking ,nor, most crucially the censorship and suppression of dissent by the network of vested interests who are running this scam, for scam is what it is.

The utter incoherence and irrationality of runaway population growth, driven, for the most part by mass migration, matched with a determination to impose Net Zero +rewilding+removal of productive farmland+'sustainable development'-aka vast numbers of new housing estates+a refusal to improve working conditions for our own unhappy inhabitants cannot and will not work in the world of limits and common sense.

This ,to me, is convergent destabilisation and disruption , brought to us by the purveyors of Open Borders, Net Zero and the consequence free ideology which seems to have embedded itself in our establishment: welcome to the 2+2=3 world, favoured by our movers and shakers.

The obsession with GDP regardless of overcrowding, social tensions, anomie, collapsing infrastructure and the poaching of medical personnel from impoverished third world countries is a recipe for disaster and it won't end well.

The obfuscations, the blinkered refusal of our so called leaders to confront growing public disquiet and the MSM's posturing, egged on by the likes of Messrs Lineker and Welby, reflect Bargain Basement Blighty, sold out, misled and overcrowded.

I agree with you (as usual). I'm curious as to the thought processes of our MPs and would love to know how they honestly envisage the country 10 or 20 years from now. But eliciting an honest response is not going to happen in this lifetime or the next or when we come back as cats! I hold out little hope of being able to bring about change through the ballot box as someone has already said because the alternative parties are too small and disorganised. What we are also faced with are the results of effective brainwashing (am I being extreme?) causing people to believe we have to offer a home to all these poor waifs and strays who have washed up on our shores through no fault of their own.

Bang on the money, Sir. The only meaningful vote available to us plebs is the time tested one we can still for the moment make with our feet. Unlike all of the fake votes for fake democracy, this vote is never cheap nor is it ever the easy risk-free option. But it’s the only way to really seek the changes in our lives that we’ll otherwise only ever dream of.
