Exactly right!

Donald Trump has morphed into a totally scary unpredictable war-mongering old man. Quite what Iran has to do with American or European security is never actually explained. Quite how Iran was expected to prove it wasn't building nukes after it had both proved it wasn't and Trump had "definitely" destroyed what they already had last year is never actually explained. Quite how attacking a Shia Islam country because it "supports" all the Sunni terrorists we know and love is never explained. And, if the Iranian people really don't like being ruled by religious theocrats, isn't it up to them to do all that forming of opposition political parties and fomenting their own revolution? Didn't they do that to get rid of the Shah (who was merely an Anglo American stooge no different to the lovely Jolani floating around Syria)? And yes, most definitely, these ex-pats and supporters should be thrown out of London and told to wave their flags in their own countries - go man their barricades on the home front if they feel that strongly. It's exhausting isn't it? A world of fools.

Not only was the Shah a CIA creation, but in 1953, the democratically elected president was deposed because he intended to nationalize the oil and of course the wealth created would help the Iranian people. The US and the UK didn't like that one bit. More recent history and one that most people are aware of, is that the Mullahs were also a CIA creation. Read "Confessions of an Economic Hitman" to see how the disaster capitalism model is used: Create turmoil and then benefit from it. If the leaders of these countries don't go along with the yanks , they have unfortunate plane crash...

I'm sure we'll all be very happy when energy and retail prices start rising thanks to this lates ME war, won't we! And there'll be more 'poor refuges' ... surely the Greens and Labour will be happy about their new voters.

Don’t worry. We’ve spent years ensuring that our economy and society is as robust as possible; it surely could withstand any such shock!

Absolutely, however we remain the playthings of the Godless establishment who just want war. Until they are removed we will never know peaceful coexistence with other sovereign nations.

Many Americans are not at all happy with Trump and this latest shenanigan has upset even more. No approval was sought by the President from Congress thus violating the Constitution. Trump knew they would say no!

The assumption here is that if you are not in favour of this latest escapade you are an apologist etc. Just like the Ukraine debacle. Lies are spread everywhere about everything and anyone who has doubts etc. is cancelled.

Not a good time to be a critical thinker.

“And now, we appear to be falling dutifully into line behind Washington, as we always do.”

Which we? US and Israel went alone into this. No one from Europe has joined in.

That you know of - do you believe that the people ever get the truth?

Mirakulous's avatar

Your contention is that one or some Europeans countries are supporting the effort?!

It would be great if they were in the mix as it would show they’re relevant and are standing with western allies and interests, but there’s no such indication.

Loving the Yew-Esss of Aaaaay.

Yes. do the 'hell yeah' military thang for a few days, achieve some sort of very narrow military goal and then...... no plan at all, not even for the following week.

1. The US of A has failed to win any war since 1945 - the 1939-45 war had quite a few countries 'assisted' them to win, after they were forced to join on 8th December 1941.

2. The US of A 'empire' is falling apart, because they never understood how to govern.

The US of A ridicule the UK - perhaps they should - but fail to see their own situation.

The US of A dollar, anyone? No? OK, we'll just create a few more trillion out of thin air, again.

Hell yeah!
