Fortunately, I don't watch TV and haven't done for over a decade. The reason being, at the time, I "felt" the moral and societal collapse although couldn't have quite expressed it clearly and fearlessly. Now I can, and see what is happening. Good article and well written.

Thanks, Andrew. Yes, it's a bit of a minefield out there. Turn on the TV and the chance of having some woke or worse shove down your retinas is pretty high. I stupidly watched another show recently which I think I will have to write about soon...

At least it is an antidote to all the impossibly perfect bodies normally on display so some poor soul might watch and realise that they are not so hideous after all. That is the only positive I can find. Or it might spur a couch potato to go to the gym and start eating healthily - shock horror tactics.

Wishful thinking, I think! I am not too perturbed by their gut girth; but given that it is ostensibly a show about dating just based purely on the other's physical appearance, the fact that their waistlines in inches reach triple figures is only ever, dare I say it, 'celebrated', struck me as odd...

I rather think the message (a la Peterson) should be: strive for perfection, then fall short.

I know of no one who has seen this show that doesn't think of it as horrendous. Having stumbled across it late at night I felt positively dirty for watching it but much like staring at a car crash it was hard to tear my eyes away from the appalling spectacle. Now I watch every episode - hahaha of course not. It is does indeed show a moral decline of our society
