I am old (well, a bit over the middle-aged hill). I have taken an interest in world affairs all my life. I used to go to the old Eastern Bloc (sadly never made it to Russia though).
It wasn't as bonkers there as the West is now.
I despair of the West - being run into the ground by a bunch of totally useless inept elites whilst a bunch of fat, uneducated, uninterested unemployable workers watch plastic women in bikinis giggling at plastic musclemen on gigantic TV screens.
People tell me with great confidence that "Putin is mad", "Covid has killed literally millions", "mRNA vaccines are real vaccines which stop you dying. Of anything", "masks work", "Putin is weaponising energy supplies", "Putin is responsible for inflation/bird flu/energy prices/climate change", "Get an electric car to save the planet", "be a vegetarian to save the planet".
No logic, no research, no thought goes into any of those statements by anyone who ever spouts them.
Tell them you have read Putin's speeches yourself or you have read the research on covid or the climate or vegetarianism and health and they call you a load of names!

The individual is powerless no matter how good their words. Many good words have been expended but to no avail. But words allied to a NEW DECENTRALISED POWER STRUCTURE that UNITED the GLOBAL POPULATION would be All-Powerful and prevail against any ENEMY.
It only requires the ‘Great and the Good’ to get their act together and connect with a STRATEGY that could deliver a world free of the evil and malignant forces currently in play.
Note: The technology and guile used by our ENEMY to lock down the world in 24 hours could just as easily be used to liberate it - if only we could temporarily suspend our reliance on words and apply our energy and imagination to DYNAMIC ACTION.
Just heard from someone who knows someone vaguely famous, whose wife is a nurse at the hospital Boris Johnson stayed at during his bout of the plague, that in fact he was never there at all. Just thought I would pass it on, no idea if it is really true or not. Has anyone heard anything similar?
