Even if they didn't actually do what they are accused of, and that the ramifications of it might be, oh you know, World War III. Whether or not the Ukrainians stood something to gain from such an act is, it seems, irrelevant.
I am old (well, a bit over the middle-aged hill). I have taken an interest in world affairs all my life. I used to go to the old Eastern Bloc (sadly never made it to Russia though).
It wasn't as bonkers there as the West is now.
I despair of the West - being run into the ground by a bunch of totally useless inept elites whilst a bunch of fat, uneducated, uninterested unemployable workers watch plastic women in bikinis giggling at plastic musclemen on gigantic TV screens.
People tell me with great confidence that "Putin is mad", "Covid has killed literally millions", "mRNA vaccines are real vaccines which stop you dying. Of anything", "masks work", "Putin is weaponising energy supplies", "Putin is responsible for inflation/bird flu/energy prices/climate change", "Get an electric car to save the planet", "be a vegetarian to save the planet".
No logic, no research, no thought goes into any of those statements by anyone who ever spouts them.
Tell them you have read Putin's speeches yourself or you have read the research on covid or the climate or vegetarianism and health and they call you a load of names!

Today I watched Mark Steyn interview a British couple from Torquay who have lost their home and livelihood as the owners of the hotel where they worked have switched to the lucrative business of housing young dinghy men .
Goodbye to the tourism which must of the south west relies on, hallo to yet more homelessness in an area which I know well: minimum wages, AirBnB and second homes.
But still the Ukraine related sabre rattling continues, while even the barmy Bidenites are having second thoughts.
Mr. President, we are rapidly approaching a moment of truth, both for ourselves as human beings and for the life of our nation. Now, truth is not always a pleasant thing. But it is necessary now to make a choice, to choose between two admittedly regrettable, but nevertheless distinguishable, post-war environments: one where you got 20 million people killed, and the other where you got 150 million people killed!

It only requires the ‘Great and the Good’ to get their act together and connect with a STRATEGY that could deliver a world free of the evil and malignant forces currently in play.

Just heard from someone who knows someone vaguely famous, whose wife is a nurse at the hospital Boris Johnson stayed at during his bout of the plague, that in fact he was never there at all. Just thought I would pass it on, no idea if it is really true or not. Has anyone heard anything similar?
